Form Validation
Evaluate the physical size, proportions, ergonomics and overall appearance of a design before committing to production.
RAPID PROTOTYPING
Kreva3D produces rapid prototypes for product development, fit checks, functional testing, engineering validation and design iteration.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
A digital model can look correct on screen and still reveal problems once it becomes a physical object. Rapid prototyping allows designers, engineers and product teams to evaluate parts early and make better decisions before production.
Kreva3D produces prototypes for visual evaluation, assembly checks, ergonomic testing and functional validation using materials selected around the purpose of the prototype.
PROTOTYPE APPLICATIONS
Different prototype stages answer different questions, from appearance and fit to mechanical behaviour.
01
Evaluate the physical size, proportions, ergonomics and overall appearance of a design before committing to production.
02
Test clearances, interfaces, mounting points and compatibility with existing parts or assemblies.
03
Produce working prototypes to assess movement, strength, handling and real-world behaviour.
04
Move quickly between design revisions and compare physical versions before selecting a final direction.
05
Create components for mechanical evaluation, assembly testing and early-stage engineering validation.
06
Produce representative parts before committing to larger production quantities or more expensive manufacturing methods.
WHY PROTOTYPE
Physical prototypes make it easier to identify issues that may not be obvious in CAD or on-screen visualisations.
Testing earlier can reveal fit, usability and functional problems before they become expensive production issues.
Revised models can be printed without rebuilding tooling, allowing multiple design cycles during development.
Different prototype stages can use different materials depending on whether appearance, stiffness, flexibility or functional testing matters most.
PROTOTYPE MATERIALS
A visual prototype may prioritise surface quality and speed, while a functional prototype may require toughness, flexibility, dimensional stability or heat resistance.
Kreva3D works with materials including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, Nylon and carbon-fibre reinforced options depending on the prototype requirements.
